Court date information is available on KaneCourt.org.  Click on FIND MY COURT DATE.  You may search using your name or case number.  If you do NOT find your court date on this site, search the Kane County Circuit Clerk's Office website under Court Records, or you may call the Kane County Circuit Clerk's Office at (630) 232-3413.

To receive text or email notifications of your future court dates, go to KaneCourt.org, click on HEARING REMINDERS,  and subscribe to the service.

Am I required to come to court?

Go to KaneCourt.org​look for your courtroom number or judge.  Once found, select JOIN HEARING for that courtroom or judge. Look at the Session Times.  If the day of the week and time you have court falls within any of the listed days/times, you may stay home and attend court on Zoom (remote).  UNLESS you have a court order or have been directed to appear in person by your attorney.  Then you must appear in person at the designated courthouse.

From what devices may I access Zoom?

You may access Zoom from any computer, smart phone, or mobile device that has internet access.

What if I don't have internet access to attend a Zoom court hearing?

See the Kane County Law Library & Self Help Legal Center web page Hotspots, Wi-fi, & Internet Services Free or Low Cost. You may also use equipment at the Kane County Law Library & Self Help Legal Center to access Zoom Court.  The equipment is limited so there is no guarantee of immediate access to your court hearing.  ​

Is it safe to come to court if I am seeking an emergency order of protection or have been ordered by a judge to appear in person? What should I expect when I go to court?

All Kane County Courthouses have been modified to protect the health and safety of both the courthouse staff and members of the public. 

Do I need to wear a mask/face covering if I am required to come to court?

NO. Beginning February 28, 2022, the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit will no longer require masks or face coverings when conducting business in Kane County Courthouses. Individuals may still choose to wear masks, but pursuant to an amended court order issued by the Supreme Court of Illinois (M.R. 30370), and Sixteenth Judicial Circuit General Order 22-04​, mask wearing will no longer be required. People still choosing to wear a mask or face covering while in court may be directed to remove it by a judge if they are testifying. 

Is there ​childcare available at the courthouse?

YES. The Kane County Children's Waiting Room ​is open. There is limited availability. General Order 22-01​​​​

Can I get married at a Kane County Courthouse?

YES. The courts are performing marriages at the courthouses. General Order 22-01.  You are encouraged to call the Kane County Clerk's Office 630-232-5950, or visit the Marriages and Wedding Ceremonies​ webpages for more information and updates concerning ceremonies during the pandemic.
